Another Sunday Six-Pack

Editor's Note: Today’s article continues my twice-monthly-or-so practice of thanking my paid subscribers (and not-so-subtly encouraging upgrades). Behind the wall are a half dozen bits:

I've done my level best to ignore the deluge of opinions that have swamped social media and the press ever since Taylor Swift started publicly dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Everyone's got something to say. Mostly, it's either some negative comment, or a negative comment about all the negative comments. After chiming in a couple times, I opted for "scroll on by" silence rather than get drawn into the predictable ping pong. But, and since the only way to get noticed nowadays is to "go beyond," the tale has ventured into tinfoil-hattery.

The new narrative is that this whole thing is a giant work, intended to co-opt Red State America into voting for Joe Biden.
