Burning Down The House

It’s entertaining, in a macabre and apocalyptic fashion, to ponder the hypocrisy of the party that insisted “democracy itself” was at stake before the election engaging in all sorts of “Trump-proofing” actions in the post-election transition period.

With several weeks to go before Trump swears in as POTUS-47, the Biden administration (and a couple governors) is trying its best to erect barriers and install obstacles against Trump’s agenda.

Apart from hamstringing Trump’s ability to change energy policy, to cut spending programs, to cull the government workforce, and much more, there is the sinister specter of preemptive pardons for those who carried Biden’s water.

Not content with having pardoned his son for more than a decade’s worth of monkey business and pardoning or commuting 1500 others, some of whom make us say “what the [redacted]!,” Biden reportedly continues to contemplate “pre-” pardons for loyalists.
