Climate Fatigue

I was at a neighborhood gathering the other day, when someone mentioned that some neighbors who weren’t there had just returned from a vacation in Greece. That turned into a brief discussion of the best times to travel there - or to some other locales - based on weather. In passing, I mentioned the heat wave in Europe and the “super El Nino” contributing to it. Someone there groused that “the whole world’s getting warmer.”

I ignored the appeal-to-global-warming-as-the-cause-of-all-bad-things. I had just met the person offering the opinion, and saw no point in getting into an almost certainly fruitless discussion.
