Excellent post, Peter 👍 This statement of yours, “The problem that the collectivist system run into is human nature”, is the most accurate, concise explanation of why these systems never work. There’s no need for us to search for other explanations, rationalizations, etc - human nature will not be changed by the imposition of a fundamentally flawed system. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Their belief leans into Thomas Sowell's "unconstrained vision," and harkens all the way back to Lenin and his belief in indoctrination. It also echoes the "blank slate" idea that Stephen Pinker debunked.
It is amplified by the lack of intellectual maturity I talk about in the post.
