Regular readers and other denizens of the political sandbox will recall Hanlon's Razor, one of a collection of logical and discursive tools I keep at hand. Hanlon's Razor reminds us to "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
Hanlon is especially useful in pondering matters political, given that so many of the people we send to the various halls of legislation and governance are either blithering idiots or might as well be based on their words and deeds.
But, as my linked list demonstrates, it's far from the only useful razor of scrutiny. And, as evidenced by repeated revisions of that list, every so often a new one presents itself.
