The interlude between presidencies can be a quiet and amicable time, with the outgoing administration recognizing the will of the voters as expressed on Election Day by accommodating the incoming administration's plans. Or, it can be a few weeks of petulant mischief, with the lame-duck President and his minions cramming some last-minute policies into the books despite the incoming President's signaled intent to take the nation in a different direction.

While we really aren't hearing much about the Biden Administration these days apart from a bizarre and escalating "now he says yes" decision to send advanced medium range missiles to Ukraine, the scurrilous rats behind the green curtain have been busy making mischief.

One that particularly rankles is the on-going war on appliances.
