Another example of millions available to prove Government policies and regulations as well as their agencies and largely the work force are nothing more than a hinderance to progress. The people buying in to this socialist BS must not ever try to accomplish anything productive. When I was young and on vacation in Rhode Island I saw a sign posted on a boat dock. “ make welfare as hard to get as a building permit “. Your experience is similar to most people’s that need help to accomplish anything important or even most things trivial. No accountability protects these jack asses from being shown the door far too often.

Hofstader’s Law has its exceptions of course. Taking out the trash, emptying the dishwasher, making the bed - these appear as much lengthier tasks in your head at the moment. But they only take a couple minutes. Unless you're like me of course, and interrupt your task for "that thing that needs new batteries" or you find "that thing that's been missing" while you're at it! Then you can't remember what the original task was that had you in the garage in the first place. Men of a certain age will "get" this!
