One benefit of being politically homeless is a lack of tribal loyalty. This has mostly inured me to the sky-screams I hear from the Right regarding the direction of the Republican Party. And, in particular, the purists' plaints regarding Trump.
The common narratives are that Trump doesn't represent true Republican values and that Trump needs to lose for the GOP to find its way back to where it's supposed to be.
I find neither of these even slightly compelling.
