Selective Segregation

Did you read about the woman who got her Planet Fitness membership revoked for taking a picture of a 'person with a penis' in the women's locker room? The company paid a hefty stock value price in the wake of that moment, but the matter of penises in women's spaces is nowhere near any sane resolution. That includes spaces that accommodate minors.

The trans-activists (a designation I use to separate the radicals from people who simply don't want to be judged or denounced) continue to hold much of Corporate America and woke-inclined people in thrall terror as they attempt to erase the un-erasable. That is, individuals' chromosomes and all that derives from those chromosomes. I won't rehash the women's sports issue, or the shelter issue, or other 'safe space' issues - you all know what I'm talking about. It seems to me utterly bonkers that someone can simply declare a "woman" gender and, while still equipped as the XY chromosome dictated, be granted access to spaces that societies all across the world and across history have established as "women only" with good reason. Or, as has happened too many times, convicted criminals declaring themselves as women so they and their penises can be sent to women's prisons.

Contrast this demand that men who self-identify as women not be debarred from women's spaces with another woke-phenomenon: "affinity" graduation celebrations. Yes, indeed, some universities are holding "blacks only" or "latinx (gag) only" or "lavender" (i.e. LGBTQetc) graduation events. I suppose, in the latter case, someone could identify as "non-binary" (as many kids are just so they don't get discriminated against or excluded by the "straights are bad people" bullies), but why should they have to? Didn't we spend two centuries fighting for equality, for an end to discrimination, and for the cessation of judging people by the color of their skin?

We are witnessing the utterly bizarre spectacle of a society amplifying the very same superficial/demographic differences that societies have been fighting for centuries to reduce to meaninglessness while at the same time erasing women. A society that insists on separate spaces for a range of identity groups but rejects separate spaces for the one group that actually needs them.

Segregation is back, coming from the last sources you'd expect. It isn't coming from the supposed racists and white supremacists we are daily warned about. It's coming from the Best-and-Brightest, the self-styled leaders of societal progress.

This will all collapse at some point. Reality has a habit of intruding. Sadly, much damage has already been done, and more will be done. By the grifters who peddle this garbage, by the idealistic fools who believe them, by the "progressives" who think that any idea of the past (e.g. MLK's content of character) is de facto bad, and by opportunists of countless flavors.
