Lost, or at least under-discussed, in all the breathlessness about all things Trump is the question of the Democratic Party's future. As in, which way will the party go in 2028, when it comes to nominating a candidate to run against whoever picks up the GOP banner (with a hat tip to JD Vance's front-runner status)?
Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are touring as a double bill, with Bernie clearly passing the socialist baton to AOC, and drawing sizable crowds. They represent the "move left" wing of Team Blue, the people who think that the path forward is by doubling down on woke, progressivism, and Big Government policies. No matter that the voters rejected all that this past election.
