David Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland high school mass shooting and subsequent anti-gun activist, is at the tender age of twenty-five one of five vice chairs of the Democratic National Committee. He joins Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a young face of the Democratic Party, and like AOC is full-throated in advocacy for progressive policies and leftist politics. His big idea? To primary incumbent Democrats in safe districts in order to move the Party leftward.
