To the extent that the Biden Administration was largely Obama 2.0, it is unsurprising to note that they were equally deceitful, and contemptuous of the public they served. But I recall clearly how much those attitudes were a feature of the Bill Clinton administration as well. Rush Limbaugh nearly had a show segment using the term "how can we lie to them today".
It's an old cliche that politicians lie. That has filtered down into the bureaucracies, who are supposed to be non-partisan and in service to the public as a whole.
