Amen. The core of the various critical theories is criticism. Not a better way, or remedies, or solutions that have been shown to work or that might be expected to work. Just criticism, and in the void left by a lack of workable alternative, people project vague utopian fantasies.
All that you espouse here is not only an individual right, but an individual responsibility as well. I know the things we are obliged to do are not nearly as popular as those we choose to do; but we cannot have one without the other.
