Not to mention the government’s officially changing of the measures of inflation over time in order to obfuscate the mathematical obviousness of government’s confiscation of non-government prosperity.
Again, we get back to education, or the lack thereof, and the system that perpetuates false narratives rather than actual knowledge. It is a circular firing squad that only gets worse each year educators get away with perpetuating a left wing agenda. The children in the govt run education system are doomed to be sheep because that is what they’re being taught. Only when the proper reigns are applied to the dept of ed, or an outright abolition, will the actual knowledge of pupils start to be commensurate with a thriving country again. When the people are actually involved n their children’s schooling. Until then, a long hard road is ahead of us.
From time immortal, nearly every government that has ever existed has tried wage and price controls. Spoiler alert: don't work, never have, never will. But, as we clearly can see, that does not stop government from trying again and again. "But THIS time, W&P controls WILL work!!"
I actually believe they don't care much if they work. All that matters to them is winning the election. From there, they can start a new spending binge, attempt to neuter the Court, raise taxes on any and every successful person and venture, impose ever more massive piles of regulation, federalize elections, and otherwise do whatever they can to take permanent control of an unrestricted government.
You may as well be talking to a wall when trying to explain to a liberal printing money causes inflation and devalues the dollar. When we reached 9% inflation driving costs up they did not go back down with the drop in inflation. Once inflated cost stays inflated when money is dumped into the economy.
I told my liberal brother who thinks he’s a libertarian that every dollar the government prints makes the dollar in his pocket worth less. He unfriended me on FB over my stupid conservative views. 🤦🏻♀️
Inflation is also psychological, inflation rises when people have less trust in their government's future decisions. In our case, that distrust starting 2020 was well deserved. The fact that the rate of inflation is slowing is due to the fact that his administration's days are numbered.

Politicians and their supporters can so easily confuse slogans with solutions.
