A friend mentioned to me just the other day that he heard three stories in a row on local radio in North Carolina that fear-mongered against nuclear power. This seems a bit suspicious, given the increasingly favorable winds regarding nuclear power.
Alas, I don't recall Trump reversing Obama's EO to shut down the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository.
Rather, all of that reactor waste from the last 70 years remains, for the most part, onsite of the nuclear power plans.
Strong supporter of nuclear myself, but the TMI incident still gets overblow; even more so as the power plant technology has advanced substantially over the last 45 years.
I'm getting hopeful about the role hydrogen fuel cells can play in the energy mix. Quite a bit of action occuring in the Ohio research and development arena.
This is one area where diversity in the marketplace improves the energy outlook for America.
This is soo good to hear! Remember: more people died at Chappaquiddick than at Three Mile Island!!

The US is going to be a laggard in nuclear power. Even so, there's some noise on the Hill and from the Administration in the right direction.

I wrote this last June.

Yeah, I recall as that updated me on the progress the tech had made.
I just wrote a snippet on a company called Hyperion Motors which is bringing its corporate HQ and their stationary and mobile fuel cell R&D here.
