The much ballyhooed Red Wave predicted for yesterday's elections turned out to be like those I remember from summers in Greece as a child: little splashes barely bigger than those in a bathtub.
But, he needs to GO AWAY all the same. ALL his folks seem to have lost, and J.D. Vance didn’t mention him in his victory speech. ALL the “election deniers” seem to have lost.
Certainly, but if Trump had not endorsed those people, would that have happened?
GA's gonna be a hot race, with huge money going in from both sides. We'll see what Trump does there, but I don't expect the same "stay home because cheat" narrative.
You are right on target discussing and blaming Trump. He simply isn’t a team player and has been acting like a powerful businessman instead of acting Presidential.
Trump grifted $100 million for this contest and, to my knowledge and comments from Brit Hume on FOX last night, didn't support ANYONE finacially. JD Vance didn't even mention him in his victory speech, which is probably payback for the lack of support. And Oz could not beat a barely cognizant Fedderman. Think about that. McConnel was right about the weakness of the Trump-endorsed candidates, which pains me to say, given that I have a low opinion of the man. The party seriously needs to move away from Trump. DeSantis looks strong and should get the party's support right away.
GOP had several GA Senate candidates vastly superior to Walker, but Trump once again bullied his way into our election. Walker will likely lose the runoff because of voter turnout. Had one of the better candidates run for the GOP, there wouldn't even be a runoff. A Pox on the House of Trump!
Trump will not go away barring a health issue. And I'm not convinced Trump will lose any more significant support until Trump stops jawboning about "stolen" elections, with Pennsylvania his next poster boy.
DeSantis would do well not to even mention Tom Riddle's name.
BRIAN Kemp! BRIAN! From Athens, GA! LOL! Not Jack!
Haha. Fixed. What I get for dashing off the article :).
And, I just read that Trump is already up and spewing toward DeSantis this morning. GO! AWAY! DONNIE!
He's feeling the heat. He won't go away quietly.

Where’s all the “WINNING?” I
was told there would be “so much winning.”
And, yes, you are correct. Trump needs to GO! AWAY!!!
Dr. Oz was a Democrat until 2022. Trump endorsed Oz because “Melania likes him.” Such a, “very stable genius,” huh?
I won't like this post but I will agree with it. Grudgingly. You're right.
Is there a down side to moving on from Trump?
At this point? No.
There is also the factor of the Democrats exploiting this, by funding campaigns for Trump Candidates.
Have to wonder if Trump will/would help or hurt Walker in the run off.
Certainly, but if Trump had not endorsed those people, would that have happened?

The true tell-tale for me was when he under-bussed Barr for the temerity of telling Trump that there was no "there" to his stolen election claims.
One-way street in terms of loyalty, and I figure he'd rather burn down the GOP than cede its helm to someone else. Gonna be ugly.
