The politics of envy, which is a sin, stoked by yet another sin: bearing false witness by accusing anybody with anything you don't as having not earned or sacrificed for it.
Leftists have, for decades, been pushing the notion that individuals only manage to succeed because "society" offers them the structure to do so, therefore individuals have an obligation to "society." This is backward. "Society" only exists and succeeds because of the efforts of individuals within it. "Society" has the obligation, via government, to protect those individuals' rights, which include ownership of the fruits of their labor.
