Or all those nasty Covid variants. Though avian flu is making another round after the prior failed prediction. And don't forget about all those kids who will kill themselves if we don't allow them to be medically mutilated.

In 1969 NBC aired a special “Who killed Lake Erie”. By the 80’s it was coming back. I hate a lot of what the EPA does-CAFE rules, calling a puddle wetlands etc, but Lake Erie is a true success story.

Unfortunately, a lot of people make a good living by scaring the rest of us. I am thinking about the commentators on MSNBC as one example.

Several years ago when the plastic straw was demonized I got a set free of stainless steel ones from Pampered Chef when I ordered some cast iron cook wear for our BBQ. They remain in my kitchen draw in the fine quality draw string bag aging. I admit I did pull one out to use once for a Yeti that came with only a straw hole until I found a proper lid for it. I personally never use straws as a rule. It has nothing to do with pollution. It’s vanity. They will wrinkle your lips like you’re a smoker.

Not that this has anything to do with your article which I totally agree with. 😊
