By all means, flock to Bluesky and further tighten the walls of your disinformation bubble! Their estrangement from the rest of us - and reality - continues, even accelerating.

I love how upset the Left is about "Vice President Musk". Never once considering the irony of the vacancy of the current President of the United States and the equally vacant actual Vice President.

As I mentioned, hypocrisy is no impediment. Nor is a lack of self-awareness.

Excellent column, Peter. I completely agree that the hatred toward Musk has, at its core, the fact that he took away their playtoy and won't give it back.

One comment: Alinsky would definitely have been on board with the big-government leftists; the core idea of European socialism was that the state takes responsibility for your welfare, the way that a king would have in the feudal era, and that's also been the goal of the American left under Obama and Biden.

re Alinsky, I agree, but not having dug into him much beyond his Rules, I didn't want to be definitive.

Elon's purchase of Twitter was a bold, risky, in-your-face move! The apoplexy by the left was so gratifying!

The vitriol towards Musk that I see on social media and even the MSM is just incredible. It is so unhinged. It reminds me of the scene from Clerks where Veronica quells a raging crowd with a fire extinguisher and tells them "And you people, don't you have jobs to go to? Get out of here, go commute! You oughta be ashamed of yourselves. Bunch of easily-led automatons. Try thinking for yourselves before you pelt an innocent man with cigarettes!"

The most ironic thing ever to me is that when I was a kid during the hippie days, young idealistic liberals were completely anti-government, adhering to the Jim Morrison quote about when you make peace with authority you become authority. Today young idealistic liberals call you Hitler if you don't get your 15 government-mandated vaccines. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in Bizarro World.

Well said Peter. It’s funny how Trump has gone from “literally Hitler” to a mere puppet of Musk. The left will say anything to advance their agenda. It’s all BS and I hope more people are seeing it.
