When Kamala told Bret the other night that “you know what I’m saying” it verged on doublespeak. He responded honestly “I don’t know what you’re saying”.
Last I checked, Alex Jones isn’t setting himself up as a healer of society’s ills. The point of the article is not that these people are full of hate, which they are, but rather that they lie to us about their way being the path forward.
I'm no fan of the MAGA movement, but the Left has done much more damage to the nation, and rewarding their excesses with a political victory would just spur even more detached-from-reality madness. At least the Right isn't telling us all that America is irredeemable.
Also, "whataboutism" isn't much of a rebuttal to the point I'm making.
It's not "whataboutism" to point out that true believers of any ideological stripe represent a danger to the nation. Congress can hold in check a Harris presidency far better than it would with Trump especially if the GOP takes the Senate. The Right is telling us that America is redeemable but there's all sorts of people who need to get the boot for that to happen.
Peter talks about Trump fairly regularly. This piece wasn’t about that.
Bringing him up in this context is akin to Kamala refusing to answer the question of when she was first aware of Biden’s cognitive decline, choosing instead to pivot to “but TRUMP”.
According to her, Trump remains a threat due to his rhetoric - but as Baier pointed out, that page was turned in 2020. Yet, according to Kamala, he remains a threat presumably for as long as he draws breath and retains a mouth with which to speak. Turning the page in 2020 didn’t, by her own admission, fix that problem, so IDK why she thinks it’s persuasive to advocate voting for them again in 2024.
Glad to know you are a baseball fan, and I appreciate the reference to the race essentialism all star team. Back in the day, the team would be invited to play a friendly series in Cuba, to which they could then freely escape the chains of liberty via political asylum.

You don't consider that hate is rife on the right as well? Alex Jones comes to mind among several others.

Trump doesn't lie? And isn't the whole idea behind MAGA is to set our nation on a different some would say reactionary course?
