I don't think anybody fails to "get it" anymore. Perhaps the Democrats aren't straight up antisemitic, but at this point, they've clearly caved to the antisemites among us.

I think you underestimate their narcissism. As Thomas Sowell noted, self-congratulation is the prime motivator of the "anointed," and they see the rest of humanity as pawns to be arranged however they think best.

There's also humans' infinite capacity for self-delusion. Many that have sided with Hamas have convinced themselves that the barbarity of 10/7 didn't actually happen, and that if Israel simply left Gaza and the West Bank, the Palestinians would settle peacefully.

I think the Pal refusal to accept a two state solution is virtually miraculous, because if they were to accept one, it would be the beginning of the end for Israel.

And it's not as though the choices are only between permanent Israeli control of a nation of psychopaths and giving those psychos a state. *Arab* polls back in the early 2010s showed that upwards of 65% of Arabs in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza would leave. If they could. And their main barrier is economic. For one thing, those who own property can't sell it, because if they sell it to Jews, they'll be murdered.

Israel can afford to be extremely generous with Arabs who emigrate. Providing 6 figure emigration baskets will not only make leaving attractive to them, it will make them attractive to whatever country they apply to immigrate to. All countries give preference to immigrants who enter with financial means, and will be less likely to become a financial burden on the country.

I know it's been talked about by various Israeli government officials. What I don't understand is why it hasn't been implemented.
