There's a sad irony in witnessing people who claim that the legal system is stacked against the citizens (see: progressives, police defunders, bail eliminators, non-prosecutors, and the like) happy over the pretzeling of that system for partisan political gain (see: Trump's absurd fine in New York for financial reporting irregularities).
Thanks. This weaponizing of government has to stop - and the Right needs to wake up to the reality that imitating the Left's thuggishness is not a remedy.
Let's see if anyone who presents a message of not throwing further oil on the fire has any chance in the coming years to be seen as a hero. It seems to me that people would, at the moment anyway, rather see the whole thing burn down than leave it "to their ideological enemies." And so, in consequence, it must burn then. Humans are simply too twitchy and easily triggered, once their suspicion for bad behavior "of the other side" is aroused...
It's a shame Trump is so flawed. There was clearly a hunger for a "America-positive" candidate, and he found it. When he's gone from the scene, we may have a shot at a Reagan type.
And now George Santos has filed a lawsuit against Jimmy Kimmel for making fun of him. Public figures need to be thick-skinned. That's DeSantis's main weakness in my view--he can't take criticism.
One of the things that turned me away from RDS was his veering toward big government solutions. Especially after more details about the Disney brouhaha came out. Sounds like that Florida bill is more of the same

Don't forget about Michael Mann winning a case against Mark Steyn, and now going after everyone he can.
