I get so frustrated by people who trot out this and other simpleton arguments to defend socialism. Many of them don't even know what "equivocation" is, let alone that they're equivocating, and many don't consider that they've invested fractions of a minute of real, cogitative, logical thought to this "gotcha" bit.
