Get into an argument with a Democratic Socialist, and you're bound to be offered the assertion that "democratic socialism" isn't the same as what existed in the Soviet Union, or Red China, or more recently Venezuela.
It's funny that these "democratic socialists" push their movement so hard without knowing what they're pushing for. And I believe Denmark came out with a rebuttal to Sanders' constant examples of "socialism" he preaches about in Denmark. Denmark said, "Woah, hold on there buddy, we're not socialists here". I think Sanders and people that push that agenda just like to hear themselves talk honestly
Exactly! It's like John Mcwhorter said, it's a religion to them. And this piece fits well with your last one, about not being able to look to the end result. They see "free" without thinking it through to how it'll work out - badly in this case

The Danish PM, or someone equivalent, did as you say. Bernie didn't seem to care.
This is all about the simplistic latching onto a snake oil salesman's promises by people who'd rather believe them than be skeptical of "free" stuff.

I've blogged a lot on the religion analogue over the years. I'll fish one out and re-run it.
