The problem, in my opinion, started when people on the left started throwing around "racist" like it was candy. They blurred the definition of the word racist and cut out the word prejudice and now suddenly all white people are "evil". Doctor King must be rolling in his grave
They did more than blur it. They changed it, at least as far as they are concerned (and they're the only ones that matter).
"Racism" now has two new components: "power" and a substitution of the collective for the individual. So, there cannot be black-on-white racism, because only whites have the power, and no individual can reject an accusation of racism, because his skin color lumps him in with all others of the same shade, and that shade has the power, and therefore racism.
It's idiotic, but it's what they believe, and they've succeeded in scaring a LOT of people into submission with this.
